Eighth Reunion
Thursday July 11th through 13th, 2013
San Diego, CA

Thursday July 11th through 13th, 2013

Shipmates and Families,

Wow, where does the time go? We all know how fast time goes when we see our kids and grandkids. At the reunion in D.C., we received an overwhelming vote in favor of San Diego for the 2013 reunion. It will be here before you know so please SAVE THE DATE! The reunion will occur JULY 11 through JULY 13, 2013. Members of the reunion committee were able to secure the same price for two years from now as we got last time in San Diego at just $129. per night, double occupancy. This price is extended for 3 days before and 3 days after the reunion. The hotel is again the Crowne Plaza, which really took care of last time. As always, the reunion committee will come up with some very interesting things to do also. It will be truly a fun time.

Some things to remember; we can get a complimentary archives room and hospitality room IF we get enough rooms booked. This is important. Of course it is actually not as important as the real strong desire to make the 2013 reunion the best ever....we want you all there! How many more reunions will we have anyway? We are all getting older and we will find it harder and harder to attend so let's really make 2013 bring us all together again.

This notice seems pretty far out but not only does time fly, it gives us all time to plan. Do you need to mark the calendar so as to keep it in your thoughts?....do it! Do you need to put a little aside along the way to save for the event?... do it! Do you need to really think hard about how much it means for us to all see our shipmates again? ......think about it!

I mentioned before that we really want to help anyone who may be struggling and therefore thinking they "cannot" attend. Communication is key; let me know if you want to go and could use a little help. Perhaps a shipmate is going alone and could share his room with you. Perhaps the association could assist you with airfare. We cannot know your needs however, unless you speak up. All such communications regarding the "Get 'Em There" program are strictly confidential.

Listen to my plea and assurance; we want you there!

If you have any questions let me know. Further information will be posted in the months to come on this web page and via our email communication list along with all the required reunion forms. As always all military associates involved with the " Igloo White Project" , Jolly Greens, Nails, Hobos, Zorros, Nimrods, NKP personnel, Batcats , VAH-21 Project Trim, Crazy Cats, ect. are invited to attend our reunion and take part in all the special events. We would also be honored to have any Khe Sanh veterans or USS Milius shipmates join us.

Sincerely and in brotherhood,

Ralph Womack
